Job Title - Reserve Team Manager
Start Date - Immediately
Responsible To - First Team Managers / Director of Football
Purpose - To ensure the transition of Youth and Reserve team players into senior football, with the aim of future inclusion within the First Team set up.
Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and implement a footballing ethos that is consistent with that of the youth and senior sections within the club and working closely with the first team managers to ensure the player pathway is clear.
• Ensure logistics and coaching for all training sessions and matchday fixtures.
• Responsible for all kit and equipment as directed.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of players within the men’s senior football structure.
• Build and maintain positive engagements and relationships with First Team and U18 Coaches.
• Identify player and staff progress during regular contact with senior management team.
• Be able to assist with the decision-making process regarding both incoming and current players within the reserve team.
• Maintain and instil positive communication lines between players and the club.
• Act in a safe, responsible, respectful, and professional manner whilst representing Wokingham Town Football Club.
• Uphold a positive image of Wokingham Town Football Club at all times.
• Alongside the club’s Welfare Officer, it is expected that the safety of all Youth players is of paramount importance whilst the above are under the club’s jurisdiction.
• Ensure a safe, respectful and positive environment in which all participants can flourish within to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
• UEFA C License, (The Football Association’s Level 2)
• First Aid in Football (FA Emergency Aid) or equivalent
• Safeguarding Children Course (Safeguarding Children Workshop)
• Valid DBS check
• Full UK driver’s license Applicant
