Johnstone comes into the club having watched Wokingham Town back in our original period back at Finchampstead Road so has Sumas DNA in his blood.

Club President Mark Ashwell spoke about his delight to be able to welcome Ricky to the club ahead of what we hope will be a successful season.

He said: “On behalf of everyone at Wokingham Town I’m excited to welcome Ricky to the club family. We are all ready to support him on his journey this coming season and we can’t wait to support the Allied team from the touchline.”

At Wokingham Town we have a successful pathway from our Youth Section into the Senior Squad with several players such as Jamie Goodwin and Archie Collier having broken into the First Team this season after playing in our Allied team in the 2022/23 season.

Everyone is excited to welcome Ricky to the club and we can’t wait to see his Wokingham Town U18’s competing at Lowther Road in the near future.
